"BAM!  Billy Mays here!"  William Darrell, or known well as, "Billy" Mays was an infomercial salesperson pitchman who was well known for his trade marked scruffy beard and loud and projecting voice.  Mays was born on July 20, 1958 and had died just recently on June 28, 2009 when he was just 50 years old.  He performed infomercials containing things that are home-based and that help you do things around your house.

Mays was born in McKees Rock, Pennsylvania and lived a pretty average life throughout his early stages.  He had grown up here with his mother and father, Joyce Palm and Billy Mays and gone to high school at Sto-Rox.  When it was time to go off to college Mays decided to go to West Virginia University.  When just a while into his college years, he found out that his father needed help on his steadily failing waste company, so he dropped out to help his father, and after, moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1983.  Mays had found his passion for being a pitchman and started selling various items on the Atlantic City boardwalk, which his career took off in 1993.  He'd traveled the country for twelve years selling right before he was hired to sell OxiClean and other products on the Home Shopping Network.  After being a television pitchman for a couple of years, Mays decided to step it up and founded Mays Promotion, Inc.  Also, on April 15, 2009 Pitchman began airing on the Discovery Channel.  This was a series of television shows which featured Mays and his products.Throughout Mays' lifetime he had two marriages.  One whose name was Dolores, or as to he would call her, "Dee Dee."  Together, they had a son named Billy Mays III, whom was at the age of 24 when his father died.  Billy Mays III worked right along side his father on his series, Pitchman working as a production assistant.  In conclusion, the two men were very close.  Mays had remarried and his wife then was Deborah Mays whom with he had a baby with her.  Together, they had a young baby girl named Elizabeth.  Elizabeth was only at the age of three when Mays had died.  "Yea, that would kinda stink though if you were only three years old when your dad died.  You would've barely even known him!" Blake M, 9th, states.
It was the day of June 28, 2009 and Deborah Mays, his current wife had found Mays, dead in his home in Tampa, Florida at approximately 7:45 AM.  According to the Associated Press, there was no activity that went on throughout his house that night.  They had figured Mays had must have died sometime overnight, but the people weren't sure what caused his death.  Though, doctors and investigators believe that heart issues may have been the cause of his death.  People are still investigating on what exactly happened.

"I can't believe he died though!"  Taylor S, 8th, whines.
