Lions disappoint fans, again

The Lions are really bad and we all know that, but they are better than last year.  I think that they could get a new defense and some offensive line to protect Matthew Stafford.  They did the worst and the second worst in the past two years; they only got two wins combined those two years.   

The Lions need to draft the defensive lineman Nodamukong Suh or Gerald McCoy, the best two d-lineman in the draft.  The Lions' drafting ability isn't very good since all of the coaches have traded away their good players to better teams so the Lions will have more money to spend on their drafts. And then the best draft pick since Barry Sanders is Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford combined.  The Lions have really made bad choices with their draft choices in Charles Rodgers and Roy Williams.  

The Lions are the worst team other than the Browns in the whole NFL. They haven't even been to one Super Bowl since 1957, the second longest drought in the history of the NFL.  Some teams need time to develop to their system, but they have had lots of time to do that from 1929.  To establish what the better teams have done with their systems like the Colts.  This might be a turnaround for the Lions.  “The Lions are really bad,” said Paul B.

The Lions need to be more to the point and want to win the game more than the other team.  The Lions need to do this because that is the only way that they will compete with good teams and have a chance.  They need to get better or else I could coach them and win a couple more games than right now. I’m just saying that they are really bad.

The Lions need to turn it around and make a new team with this year’s draft and go to Super Bowls by winning, by wanting to win more than the other team. That is the only way the Lions won’t be very bad and fitting for Michigan to be proud.

How can a team be as bad as the Lions are?  They are definitely the worst team in the NFL right now and arguably the worst team ever.  I think they should be moved down to the AFL.

Last year the Lions went 0-16.  They are the first team ever to “accomplish” this.  They continued their losing streak for the first two regular season games this year until they beat the Redskins.  They had  one of the longest losing streaks in the NFL.  This year the Lions ended with a 2-14 season.  

The Lions' offense is terrible.  I blame it on their line.  Jake C, 8th, said, “They need to draft offensive lineman because the line they have now is terrible.”  The Lions have decent skill position players.  Their combination of Culpepper and Stafford for quarterback and Calvin Johnson at wide receiver isn't bad.  Kevin Smith, their running back, isn't great but he's not horrible.  So that leaves it to their line for their bad offense.

The Lions haven't even had an extremely hard schedule.  They've versed a lot of average or below teams like the Seattle Seahawks who are 5-11, the Chicago Bears who are 7-9, and the St. Louis Rams.  How can you lose to the Rams?!  Chris R, 7th, said, “After losing to the Rams the Lions were officially the worst team in the NFL.”  The Rams ended the season 1-15, you'd think that being the only win for a team would make you realize that you need to step it up, but the Lions didn't realize it.

I'd like to say that I think the Lions have potential and that next year I think they'll do much better, but I don't think that at all.  I think Stafford will continue to get better, though.  Maybe in about four years when Stafford gets more experience they'll be better.  They also need to stop drafting skill position players.

Overall the Lions just aren't a good team right now.  So don't expect them to come out next year and have a good record, because there's just no way they're going to change that much in one year.
