Valentine’s Day: The Movie released
by HAILEY K
March 24, 2010
The new movie Valentine’s Day came out on Friday, February 12 from the director of Pretty Woman, Gary Marshall.

The movie was 125 minutes long. Many people went to see this at Quality 16.  The theaters were packed, and the crowd was excited.  Famous actors, actresses, and singers starred in this film.  Here are the people who starred in this love twisted movie:  Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, Kathy Bates, Bradley Cooper, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Hector Elizondo, Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway, Queen Latifah, George Lopez, Shirley Maclaine, Emma Roberts, and Jennifer Roberts.

Darion M., 7th grader, said that the movie was just okay. “It was funny and kinda' pointless, but my favorite star in the film was Taylor Lautner!”

Others thought of this chick flick a little differently. “The movie was really good and I loved Jessica Alba, and it was definitely better than New Moon.  I also thought it was really funny when Taylor Swift’s character gave Taylor Lautner’s character his shirt back, with her lucky number on it for Valentine's Day,” quoted Casey O., 7th grade.
Yet both 7th graders think that this movie should not get an award.

Sam K.,  7th grader, stated, "My favorite character was Taylor Swift, because she acted so stupid! And Queen Latifah was hilarious at the end when she used the ruler as a whip on the phone!”  Although Same thinks that if it were to deserve an award, it would have to be for comedy. “The only thing I didn’t really like about it, was that there was too many love scenes and break-ups.”

The genre was romantic comedy. The director really wanted a movie that would have twist and lots of laughs.  Also many people put their time and effort into the stars to make them look great.

So if you really want a movie full of love, break-ups, and twists, then this is a movie for you!  Many people have different thoughts about this movie, but you could have a chance to experience it yourself.  It's still in theaters near you, just like Quality 16. You can buy your ticket online.
