YouTube, is it a time killer or a good use of time? You think, is it a waste of time or entertaining? YouTube allows you to upload videos and create an account.  YouTube has a wide variety of videos and uses Adobe flash video to even have a wider variety of videos.

Most of the videos on YouTube have been made by individuals and media corporations including
CBS, BBC, UMG and other corporations.  YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim. Hurley studied designs at the University of Pennsylvania.  While Hurley was studying designs, Chen and Karim studied computer science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.Hurley and Chen both came up with the idea of YouTube during the months of 2005.  The very first YouTube video was actually made by Karim at the San Diego Zoo called "Me At The Zoo."  The name www.youtube.com was activated on February 15, 2005 and the website was made over the subsequent months.  Although the name www.youtube.com had some troubles because it was very familiar to the name called www.utube.com, whose owner was Universal Tube and Rollform Equipment. So he changed the name to www.utubeonline.com.

Jeong-Hyun Lim performs Pachelbel's Canon as one of the most viewed video's on YouTube on an electric guitar and his name was not given in the video.  In November 2008, YouTube, MGM, Lion's Gate Entertainment, and CBS agreed that they can fit long videos on YouTube with advertisements.  They did this to create competition with Hulu that has materials by NBC, FOX, and Disney.
